farce in the tradition of “Lend Me A Tenor” on September 19 & 20 at 7 p.m.
at the Barlow Community Center at 41 S. Oviatt St in Hudson. The auditions
on September 19 will be preceded at 6 p.m. by a group open house and general
meeting for all those that want to learn more about participating in
Community Theater. All roles are available with interested crew and
production team members (publicity, set, props, costumes, sound, lights,
etc) also being sought. Auditions are open to all with no restrictions.
Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script. More information is

are also available at the Hudson Library.

“Moon Over Buffalo”, which starred Carol Burnett on Broadway, opens the long
running community theater troupe’s 66th Season. With performances scheduled
for November 5, 6, 12, 13 19 & 20 the hilarious and popular comedy by Ken
Ludwig will be directed by Bob McCoy.

“Moon Over Buffalo” centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of
repertory theatre in 1950's Buffalo. The couple has just lost their last
chance at stardom and to make matters worse, their agent is smitten with
Charlotte and the company ingénue is pregnant by George. Add to the mix an
almost deaf grandmother/costume mistress and a forgetful weatherman/fiancée
and the fun starts rolling! When the agent calls to say Frank Capra will be
attending the matinee (one last shot at fame), we discover George is missing
and the company can't figure out if it's playing Private Lives or Cyrano de
Bergerac. The plot is full of misunderstandings, misplaced affections,
people hiding in closets, half-dressed actors, mistaken identities, mass
confusion and missing persons. Roles are available for 4 men and 4 women.

“Moon Over Buffalo is hilarious! Ludwig stuffs his play with comic
invention, running gags and neat sense of absurdity. An evening of farcical
delight. Go and enjoy!”- New York Post (Clive Barnes)

The Hudson Players are an all volunteer non-profit community theater
organization and one of the longest running theater troupes in the area.
Volunteers are always welcome to assist with a variety of tasks including
publicity, poster distribution, set building, costumes and more. Auditions
to their shows are open to all with no restrictions. Additional information
is available at www.hudsonplayers.com <http://www.hudsonplayers.com/> , by
