WHAT THE CRITICS SAID:

"A Powerfully Acted, Disturbing 'Walworth Farce'"
Brian Patrick Thornton, Spangle Magazine

"The Dobama production, under the direction of Mark Moritz, is well paced
and finely acted."
Roy Berko, The Times Newspapers, coolcleveland.com

"Dysfunctional family farce ignites Dobama season"
"Marc Moritz's informed and inspired direction draws galvanic performances
from four actors, two of whom play multiple roles. The result is an evening
of memorable theater that lingers long after the curtain closes."
Fran Heller, Cleveland Jewish News

"Audiences will find The Walworth Farce a stimulating addition to the works
of writers such as Martin McDonagh, whose The Pillowman Dobama recently
produced. There are demons aplenty in the Irish psyche, and this is one more
fascinating example."
Christine Howey, The Scene

"'The Walworth Farce' a filling concoction at Dobama. Thanks to Walsh's
clever employment of language, director Marc Moritz's astute understanding
of the material, set designer Ron Newell's conducive environment and
tremendous performances by the actors, this piece of storytelling about
storytelling is very intriguing."
Bob Abelman, News-Herald

A synopsis of THE WALWORTH FARCE

Meet Dinny and his two sons, Blake and Sean. They live in a rundown flat in
London
but they miss their native Ireland. Dinny brought them here when they were
very young and now he
keeps them virtually as prisoners and forces them to perform a bizarre
farce.
Hilarious, horrifying and ferociously entertaining, THE WALWORTH FARCE is an
achingly tender insight
into what happens when we become stuck in the stories we tell ourselves
about our lives.
Complete with rapid-fire costume changes and mistaken identities,
Walsh's award-winning play wraps its biting social commentary in high farce.
