KENT STATE UNIVERSITY MUSEUM 
OCTOBER FILM EVENTS
 
 
Many of you have heard or read about the Kent State University Museum's
fantastic exhibit on Katharine Hepburn.  "Katharine Hepburn: Dressed for
Stage and Screen" (Oct 2, 2010 - Sept 4, 2011) displays Miss Hepburn's
personal collection of performance clothes given to the museum by her estate
in 2008.  Movie frames, stage stills, publicity shots, and other ephemera
are displayed with the costumes.  During its 11-month run, the museum will
be presenting special programs, discussions and films.  Below are the films

Thurs, Oct 14, 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  Morning Glory (1933, dir. Lowell Sherman),
followed by a discussion with the audience on "Young Kate: Bright, Brash and
Bound to Glory."  A joint program of Kent State University Museum (KSUM) and
the Women's Studies Program, Kent State University.  515 Hilltop Dr.

Sat, Oct. 23, 5:15 pm / Sun, Oct. 24, 4 pm.  "MOVIE DATE WITH KATE: Holiday
at the CIA Cinematheque."  New 35 mm print.  Holiday (1938, dir George
Cukor) is the third film in the Movie Date With Kate series, previous films
having been Summertime (at the Akron Civic) and Adam's Rib (at the Cleveland
Palace).  $9 general admission / $6 for CIA members, Kent State students,
staff, faculty and alumni with identification, and  members of the KSU
