Here's a great chance for some exposure and screen time, demo-reel,
and experience. Tri-C Western (Cuyahoga Community College) offers TV
courses for anyone who wants to learn basics of studio production.
Learn to operate studio cameras, lighting, basic editing on Final Cut
Pro, and more. Also, if you want to become TV personality, learn how
to conduct interviews and host a TV show. Our students will work on
"WestViews" talk-show (available on BlipTV and local Cox cable).
Students can host their own half-hour episode, edit it, and it will be
on Internet and cable. This is your chance to produce and be on TV -
just by taking one course. The course runs for 8 weeks (starting Oct
25th, twice a week in the evening, 6-9pm). You must have a Tri-C "S"
number to register. The cost is around 200 dollars. Hands-on training
and great chance to build your demo-reel, get a screen time and
experience, and exposure via Internet TV and COX cable. No experience
needed. Taught by an award winning producer. Hurry up, this course
starts last week in October. If you never attended Tri-C, call
registrar, or visit Western campus in Parma, OH (11000 W. Pleasant
Valley rd, 800-954-8742). If you took Tri-C classes before and have
your "S" number, just register, or contact instructor for pre-approval
(eMail your full name and college S-number).
