Taking Care of Business
November 4-7, 2010

Now in its eleventh year, this program is a partnership between the Education Department of CPT and Y-Haven Transitional Housing for homeless men in recovery. Y-Haven residents work with CPT artists, acquiring the skills to create and perform an original play based on their personal experiences.

About the play: An audience favorite year after year, the CPT/Y-Haven Theatre Project offers candid insight into important issues of our society and gives real hope for growth and change. Audiences are continually blown-away by the poignant and moving stories presented by this powerful collaboration.

Taking Care of Business will be presented free and open to the public at CPT:

Thursday, November 4 at 7:30pm
Friday, November 5 at 7:30pm
Sunday, November 7 at 3:00pm

Suggested donation of $5 accepted to help support the project.

Taking Care of Business looks at the life of Eddie, who on the surface lives an ordinary life. He runs a local electronics store, provides for his mother and younger brother, and takes one day at a time. But the voices in Eddie's head are tearing him apart. And when back-door criminal activity puts him in danger, and a neighborhood thug offers a new opportunity, Eddie must decide if it's time to reinvent himself or resurrect an old self that knows how to survive...
