> THE DROWSY CHAPERONE is the Tony Award winning musical that pays homage to the silly, predictable gems of the golden age of musical theatre. It all begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called "The Drowsy Chaperone," and the show magically bursts to life. We are instantly immersed in the glamorous, hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day, complete with thrills and surprises that take both the cast and the audience soaring into the rafters. We haven> '> t seen anything quite this original in a long time.> ">   The artistic team for this Teen Academy production consists of Director Richard Hinkelman, Musical Director Joshua Cutting and Choreographer Abby Lausin and the cast consists of some of the most talented young actors in the area.
