Position Opening:
Operations Coordinator

 

Organziation

Apollo’s Fire, the Cleveland Baroque
Orchestra, now in it’s 19th season, seeking a full time Operations
Coordinator.  The ensemble performs
approximately 30 concerts in venues throughout Northeast Ohio, as well as a
series of summer concerts and approximately 8-12 weeks of touring throughout
North America and Europe. Apollo’s Fire has released 18 commercial recordings.
The organization has a Board of 23 and a staff of 6 full-time and 4 part-time
staff members. 

 

 

Responsibilities
include: 

-      
Coordination of artist travel, housing, and
ground transportation for local projects. Preparing musicians payroll and
distribution of per diem. 

-      
Negotiation of services with vendors including
transportation, performance sites, venue rentals, ground transportation, etc. 

-      
Primary point of contact for local venues. 

-      
Assist General Manager in all aspects of tour
planning and logistics. 

-      
Foreign Artist Visa application and
tracking.  

-      
Related administrative support to General
Manager including IT and finance, if applicable.  

Skills:

-      
Working knowledge of the performing arts.

-      
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time. 

-      
Excellent interpersonal skills.

-      
Computer skills such as experience with
Dreamweaver, Photoshop, CSS or html coding a plus.

-      
A car and valid driver’s license. 

 

SALARY

Salary in the mid 20’s , to commensurate with experience.
During the performance season (September – May) this is a full time position,
Hours are M-F during the day, with additional nights and weekends during
production weeks. Flexible hours or part time available during summer months.
