FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Rabbit Run Theater Audition

Rabbit Run Theater is holding auditions Feb. 7 and 8 for their upcoming
production of the drama A Walk in the Woods at Lakeland Civic Theatre. This
show is a collaborative effort between Rabbit Run Theater and Lakeland
Community College.

A Walk in the Woods, by Lee Blessing, recounts the story of two diplomats,
one Russian one American who are bogged down in nuclear disarmament
negotiations. As the bargaining drags on, they take informal walks in the
woods. Their profoundly absorbing and revealing conversations bring a
deeper understanding between them. Strikingly original and deeply
perceptive, A Walk in the Woods takes an unexpectedly humorous look at the
nature of mankind. It is a work of power and passion ringing with political
truth.

The play has two roles, both male, ages 30 to 65. Actors auditioning will
read from the script and monologues do not need to be prepared.

Auditions are at Lakeland Civic Theatre, at Lakeland Community College, 7700
Clocktower Dr., Mentor. Auditions begin at 7:30 p.m. and are open with no
audition appointment necessary. All actors should arrive by 7:30 p.m.

The director for the production is Rob Gibb. Gibb has directed and
performed at most area theaters and has appeared in the regional premiers of
Rags, Falsettos, Chess, Assassins, Tommy and A New Brain. Rob was last seen
as Stine in City of Angels and Herbie in Gypsy, both at Brecksville Theatre
on the Square. He also serves on the Dobama Theatre Board of Directors.
Rob wrote The Lush Life, his "drinking" cabaret act, and performed it at
Kennedy's at Playhouse Square and Cain Park Alma Theater.

Performance dates for A Walk in the Woods are Apr. 1, 2, 8,and 9 at 7:30
p.m. and two matinees on Apr. 3 and 10 at 2 p.m.
