[NEohioPAL] Summer Work for Artists of All Disciplines - Six Weeks/$7200

Imagine a summer job that pays you to do what you love: create art, music,
dance, and drama that inspires, moves, and enriches those around you. Young
Audiences of Northeast Ohio is soliciting applications and project proposals
from teaching artists who wish to participate in the Summer 2011 ArtWorks
program.  Now approaching its' seventh year, ArtWorks is a successful
arts-based job training program for area high school students designed to
provide training in the arts while developing skills for the workplace.
Selected artists will work with diverse populations of young people with a
broad range of artistic experience, to perform and exhibit public works of
art and to guide apprentices in the development of a professional portfolio.
Proposals from artists of the following disciplines are requested: theatre,
film/photography, music, dance, performance art, visual arts (all forms),
culinary arts, fashion/costume design, and architecture/interior design. No
degree or certification in an art discipline is required, but selected
artists must be actively engaged in professional work. Experience working
with high school students is preferred. 

 

ArtWorks will operate June 13th  - August 4th. Master Teaching Artist
applications are available and can be downloaded from
http://www.yaneo.org/what/artworks.php. Applications are due no later than
5:00PM on Thursday, February 10, 2011. For more information contact David
