Cleveland Public Theatre announces auditions for the World Premiere of
My Barking Dog
Written by Eric Coble
Directed by Jeremy Paul

Highly acclaimed local playwright Eric Coble brings his newest work to CPT. Two lonely people's lives take a dramatic turn for the bizarre when a starving coyote starts appearing at their doorsteps. As they begin to connect with the wilderness invading their city, they unexpectedly discover what they have been missing in their mundane lives; companionship and purpose. My Barking Dog will be directed by Jeremy Paul, the highly praised artistic director of Theatre Ninjas.

World Premiere

Looking to cast the following roles:

TOBY: Male, 30's-40's. Smart, unemployed, looking for a reason to keep going even as he searches for free wi-fi connections. A man who's given up his dreams and hasn't found anything to replace them.

MELINDA: Female, 30's-40's. Works nights at a printing plant because she likes to be alone with her thoughts. Dreams of being part of something bigger than herself. Sweet, plain, walks the fine line between "quirky" and "unhinged".
