*Actors’ Summit*

Presents Regional Premiere of a

New Comedy

*Becky’s New Car*

* *

Actors’ Summit, Akron’s professional theater company, follows up the wildly
successful *Romantic Fools* with another comedy. *Becky’s New Car* by
playwright Steven Dietz asks the question: “If a handsome millionaire
thought your husband was dead, how much trouble could you get into before he
and your husband found out?” The comedy will open with a preview
performance on Thursday, February 10, followed by the official opening on
Friday, February 11. The play will run Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at
8:00 PM and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 PM through February 27 at the theater
on the 6th floor of Greystone Hall in downtown Akron.

*About the Play* * * “When a woman says she needs new shoes, what she really
wants is a new job. When she says she needs a new house, she wants a new
husband. And when she says she wants a new car, she wants a new
*life*.” Becky
works at a car dealership processing paperwork and titles. Her husband Joe
is a roofer. Her son is a graduate student and still lives at home. Becky
has a nice, normal, boring life. All of that changes when a millionaire
walks into the dealership one night when Becky is working late. Something
Becky says to the millionaire leads him to think that Becky is a widow. All
her attempts to correct his impression misfire. Becky soon finds herself
entangled in a double life. Visiting a beach front mansion one day and
having pizza with her family the next.

*A Play as a Birthday Present*

Joining the company of Actors' Summit for the opening weekend of *Becky's

art" with the Staadeckers on Saturday, February 12th at 7:30 PM prior to the
