Dear Cleveland Area West-Siders,

I am writing to let you know about a very exciting new performing arts program that will be at Magnificat this summer!

The Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory (FPAC) will be offering its acclaimed training and a production of Seussical. We hope you will consider taking advantage of the opportunity to participate in this first class program!

FPAC was founded seven years ago by Artistic Director Fred Sternfeld<http://www.fredsternfeld.com/>. Some of you may be familiar with his work. He has directed at the Beck Center often, including their award winning production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast<http://www.fredsternfeld.com/beautyandthebeast.htm>, the most successful show in Beck's history, running for three consecutive holiday seasons from 2005-2007.

Some west side students familiar with FPAC started an online petition<http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=346964253690> on Facebook to try to get Fred to open a west side branch. We caught wind of it, contacted Fred, and now it is happening!

You can see a short documentary about the summer program at this link<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5dlH4Y-pSw>.

Last summer FPAC had 200 students with 80 of them in 3 productions<http://www.fredsternfeld.com/edenhonkpride.htm>. Most of the kids who were in A Christmas Story during Holiday Season for 5 consecutive years at The Cleveland Play House were recruited right out of FPAC by Associate Artistic Director Seth Gordon. They also have had numerous alums in prestigious college theatre programs and on Broadway. Currently Halle Morse<http://www.playbill.com/features/article/143898-PHOTO-EXCLUSIVE-A-Two-Show-Day-With-Mamma-Mia-Actress-Halle-Morse> in Mamma Mia and Hillary Elk<http://www.memphisthemusical.com/cast.html> in Memphis.

FPAC is offering their Professional Training Workshop (6th gr - college, by audition) and Production Workshop (1st - 6th gr, open enrollment) at Magnificat this summer. Auditions <http://www.fairmountcenter.org/FPACsummer/auditionsignup.asp> for the Pro Training are in a couple of weeks. Auditions<http://www.fairmountcenter.org/FPACsummer/seussical.html> for Seussical are in late April.

If you register before the end of March you can get a 10% discount.

Complete info about FPAC's programs at Magnificat are available at this link.<http://www.fairmountcenter.org/FPACsummer/>

Also, we want to invite you to an informational meeting at Magnificat, 20770 Hilliard Blvd., Rocky River, on Tuesday, March 22 at 6:15pm where you will get a chance to meet Fred and some of his staff!

Warm Regards,

Julie Melvin
