[NEohioPAL] Casting Call for CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, a student film

My name is Taylor Hazlett, and I'm directing a student film called Customer
Satisfaction. In the film, Ledell, a 20-something cashier at a grocery
store, has just finished having one of those days. Her job sucks, the
customers are rude, and her crush/manager is probably never going to ask her
out. As she narrates the story to her best friend, we are invited to explore
the tenuous relationship between perception and reality.

The previous film I directed was invited to show at the Canton Palace
Theatre International Film Fest this past year, and the co-writer of this
script, Erin Chilensky, won last year's Best Screenplay award at the Open
Frame Film Festival for her film That Kind of AFFECTION.

Returning alumni Joe Siebert, now a writer and director for Stonekap
Productions, is the Director of Photography for this short. Joe’s short
documentary THE REAL BOLD BAD MEN was featured on opening night at this
year’s Akron Film Fest and a version of this film can be viewed at
reelate.org .

The part I'm casting is that of a female customer (WOMAN) who gets into a
bit of a fight with Ledell, and, in a fantasy sequence, attacks her with the
divider from a checkout line. We're looking for a woman between the ages of
30-50 who has a heavier build. Because this is a student film, the acting
will be on a pro bono basis, but food will be provided on set, and anyone
acting will be allowed to use the footage for their reel. The filming will
take place in Hartville on March 20th.
