Dobama Theatre presents

A STEADY RAIN

By Keith Huff

Be sure to see this production.
The performances by Scott Plate and Jeremy Kendall are not to be missed.

³...Scott Plate turns in a recent career-high turn as the painfully
introverted Joey...
...Jeremy Kendall unleashes torrents of violent frustration as Denny...²
 -Tony Brown, Cleveland Plain Dealer

>From the moment the lights dim and the proverbial curtain rises, the viewer
is caught up in a vortex of shifting sympathies and emotions that leaves one
breathless. Joel Hammer¹s taut direction and explosive acting by Scott Plate
and Jeremy Kendall make for an evening of theater you won¹t want to miss.
-Fran Heller, Cleveland Jewish News
³Thanks to two sure-handed performances and tight, unfussy direction by Joel
Hammer, Huff¹s language crackles with the fearful urgency of gunfire in the
night.²
- Christine Howey, Cleveland Heights Patch

³Dobama¹s production, under the focused direction of Joel Hammer, is
mesmerizing. Filled with many thought-provoking scenes, actors Scott Plate
and Jeremy Kendall wrench emotional fidelity from almost every scene.²
-Roy Berko, The Times Newspapers

"A STEADY RAIN is a thoroughly engrossing examination of the toll the job
takes on those sworn to serve and protect, and how amorphous the line
between criminal and cop can be.²

"A STEADY RAIN, a gritty, rich, thick, poetic and entirely gripping noir
tale of two Chicago police officers whose inner need to serve and protect
both consumes them and rips them apart.²
-Chicago Tribune

³Enough fiery, superbly rendered, often deeply poetic speeches, enough mood
shifts, enough emotional cataclysms and action-packed storytelling to keep
this hallucinatory roller-coaster ride in exciting motion.²
