[NEohioPAL] Tri-C Creative Arts presents The Great Lakes Play Competition - a day of staged readings

LAKE ERIE PLAY COMPETITION FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

 

Cuyahoga Community College's Division of Creative Arts announces three
playwright finalists in  the annual Lake Erie Play Competition to be
held on  Saturday, April 2, 2011. The day-long event, which is free and
open to the public, will include readings of all three plays by Tri-C
students, followed by a reception announcing the winner and runner-ups.
The event will take place in the Center for Creative Arts Black Box
Theatre at the Tri-C Metropolitan Campus, 2809 Woodland Avenue, between
East 30th and East 22nd streets. 

 

The three playwrights chosen for the competition are: William Baer from
Evansville, IN, Jean Seitter Cummins from Cleveland Heights, OH and Joan
Broadman from Champaign, IL.

 

Schedule:

10 am                    "Pray for the Missing Girls" by Jean Seitter
Cummins - Directed by Fred Gloor

 

12:30 pm              "Seeking Flight" by Joan Broadman - Directed by
Fred Perry

 

2:45 pm                "Three Generations of Imbeciles" by William Baer
- Director TBA
