NORTH CANTON PLAYHOUSE AUDITIONS for PREMIERE PLAYS - NEW WORKS FESTIVAL Playwrights from New York to BRAZIL

ACTOR BENEFITS -REHEARSE as little as two or three nights a week for one or two hours only! -Plays are short, each actor gets lines -Star in a new play from playwrights WORKING IN NY and aboard! - Select actors get to create their own sketch play through improv. 




From Script To You:  2011 NEW WORKS
FESTIVAL,
featuring world premiere and new compemporary one act and short
plays.  The production
will be directed by Jeremy Lewis, along with support from Bethany
Taylor, Cassie Martin and Moriah Ophardt. 






ALL ROLES ARE OPEN.  Open auditions
will be held on Friday,
March 25 from 7:00-9:30 pm
and Saturday, March
26 from 12:00-2:30 pm
at The North Canton Playhouse, located at 525
7th Street NE, North Canton, OH 44720
.  Callbacks are
not required for this production.  Scripts will be available at the
NCP office on March 18, 2011; selected plays and synopysi will posted
online and on the NCP facebook.   Call 330-494-1613 for more
information.  






Individuals wishing to audition may
read for the script and may performance a one-minute monoldoue
(optional).  Actors should also wear suitable clothing for moving. 
The show runs May 6 -   May 14.   Please note that rehearsals will
begin immediately on Monday, April 4.

sketch improv project where the actors make their own play
Created by YOU – The Actor!    



2 to 4 actors; ages 15 to senior – strong theatre background and
understanding of acting needed. 

Comedy, or Drama 


In this new play project, a director will lead a small cast to create
through own play that will be acted out in sketch form.  Text will
not be written.  Actors will create through own story while the
director assist through establishing ground rules and dramatic
structure support.

strangers are brought together by one disruptive incident at the
Museum of Modern Art.

from a young, mental challenged man that both reminds and reveals the
beauty of  the son he could have had.

Off-Beat Comedy
A newly married couple seeks marriage
council when the wife discovers that her husband is not really a
clown, but only man only dresses as one.

A married couple try to squeeze in a
sexual, romantic moment prior to their children getting home.

removing “dust” from their lives, relationship and environment
starting in their home and up through the Armageddon.

At the funeral of a man who may have
been a saint, his wife and followers battle over a troubling legacy
and a secret “nineteens words” that could literally end the
world, while a medium re-animates the body of the saint to reveal the
