Local Talent Take on 'Twelfth Night' at LCCC's Stocker Arts Center

Local actors will tackle twists and turns in the William Shakespeare
classic "Twelfth Night" at Lorain County Community College's Stocker
Arts Center.

The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 31; Friday,
April 1; and Saturday, April 2. A matinee will be held at 2 p.m.,
Saturday, April 2. The play is directed by Terence Cranendonk.

 

Tickets are $7 for adults; $6 for LCCC students and staff; $6 for
seniors age 65 and older. Group discounts are available for groups of 15
or more people. Tickets can be ordered online at
www.lorainccc.edu/stocker, or by calling the Stocker Arts Center box
office at (440) 366-4040 from 12-6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets
are also available at the box office, located in the lobby of the
Stocker Arts Center.

 

"Twelfth Night" is the story of Viola and Sebastian, twin sister and
brother, who are separated by a violent shipwreck in a raging storm. The
path to their reunion, however, is through a series of disguises,
deceits, and mistaken identities when they stumble separately onto a
seacoast town, Illyria. A woman disguised as a man, enemies disguised as
a lover, a noble disguised as a servant, a servant pretending to be
noble, and a fool disguised as a wise man are just some of the hilarious
lengths the residents and visitors of Illyria go through as they fall in
and out of love with each other. "Twelfth Night" is a world turned
upside down by the need to hide one's passions. 

 

"Twelfth Night" is presented by LCCC's Arts and Humanities division.
