Have You Seen This Panda?

(Cleveland, OH 4/19/2011) Pandas are an endangered species. They are loved
and protected all over the world. Often times, you will only get to see
them in zoos. "Caf" is the nickname of the Cleveland Asian Festival's
mascot panda. Most of the time, he is hiding from the public. It is
believed that he is very shy and very quiet. No one knows where he goes
when he disappears. Does he have an alter ego? Is he Super-Panda to some
small town out in the middle of nowhere? Or does he sleep in a cave
somewhere in the park and munch on bamboo?

Sometimes he can be spotted around Cleveland. He was found
in the St. Patrick's Day parade marching with some friends with the
Cleveland Asian Festival. He was also seen at Kent State University with a
friend at a Fashion Show. Sometimes he can be seen waiting around Asia
Plaza, maybe for his panda girlfriend? Once he was spotted shooting
basketballs at Cleveland State University. His sightings are rare and he is
believed to be friendly. He would often shake hands with little children
and is highly photogenic!

Rumor has it, that Caf is expected to make a prolonged
appearance at the Cleveland Asian Festival this year. So come on down May
21st and May 22nd from 11 AM to 7 PM to the corner of East 30th Street and
Payne Avenue. This shy panda has hinted that he may be available that day.
One tip: he LOVES to be photographed! So make sure that you bring your
cameras!

There are also other fun things for the entire family at the
Cleveland Asian Festival. Lolly the Trolley will be giving tours of
AsiaTown. There will be a Taste of Asia with food vendors from local Asian
restaurants as well as a World Market for all of your shopping desires. A
children's area will have games, crafts- like origami, and other fun
activities. If you need a break from hanging out with Caf the Panda, take a
seat at one of the two stages and catch a cultural performance. There will
be plenty for you to do as you keep your eye out for the ever elusive Caf
the Panda!
