 AUDITIONS: Puss In Boots at Medina PAC

Audition Notice
The new Medina Youth Theater project at Medina Performing Arts Center announces auditions for its company of adult actors. Called the Friday Fairytale Theater Troupe, the company will present daytime performances of a classic children’s theater play. Actors and stage managers will be paid a stipend for their participation. Actors should be high school age and above.

Production: Puss In Boots by Moses Goldberg
Director: Ansley Valentine
Performances: Fridays at 10 am July 1, 8, 15
Rehearsals: June 13-24, 6-9 pm
Tech/Dress Rehearsals: Tentatively scheduled June 27-30, 9-11 am
Audition: Saturday, June 4 at 5 PM

For the audition, please prepare a short song. Actors will be asked to improv and read from the script.

Available Roles:
Puss – Actor who is able to do a takeoff of the cat from “Shrek”
Simple—The “not too bright” friend of Puss; simple and honest
King/Ogre—Roles are double cast. Actor must be able to play a very official, over-the-top king, and a monster-like Ogre.
Princess Clarissa--The somewhat clumsy but friendly daughter of the King. 

All performers will also play “actors” in the troupe during the preshow.
