The Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory Outreach now has OPEN REGISTRATION for summer Group Adult Piano Classes.

Whether you're continuing on, or looking to start up again, there are classes for you. For the summer we are offering two Adult classes, with six sessions each:

I Want to Play the Piano (Level I)
Adult Group Class for beginners
Alice Frawley, Instructor
Adults CAN learn to play the piano - even those who've never learned to read music before. Studies have shown that adults who actively engage in learning new things enjoy good memory health, and the more complex the activity, the better for your brain! Here's a way to have fun, learn something new, give yourself enjoyment for years to come, and it's good for you, too. Learn the important fundamentals of piano playing in a supportive environment with other adults.

Time: Wednesdays, 7:00pm-7:45pm

Dates:
June: 29
July: 6, 13, 20, 27
August: 3

Location: Classes will be held in the New Conservatory Facility in the Piano Lab, room 211! These classes will be one of the first to use the brand new facility this summer. The new building is located between the Conservatory Annex (UCC) and Merner-Pfeiffer on 49 Seminary Street, Berea, OH 44017.

Cost: $72 for 6 classes, plus $20 for lesson books and $10 registration fee for new students

Adult Piano Lab (Level II)
Prerequisite: Piano Lab level I or previous private lessons
Intermediate Adult Group Class
Alice Frawley, Instructor

Adults can learn in a group setting, piano skills, music theory, and performance technique. It is a relaxed learning environment among supportive adults from various professional and career backgrounds. Studies have shown that adults who actively engage in learning new things enjoy good memory health, and the more complex the activity, the better for your brain! All students should have access to a piano for practice outside of class; daily practice ensures advancement in keyboard proficiency. Pencils are necessary at each class.
