OCTA (Ohio Community Theater Association) hosts an annual statewide community theater conference each year with the purpose of reaching out to and educating those who enjoy participating in community theater.  The conference brings together actors, techies and behind-the-scenes staff from some of the best community theaters in Ohio.  You will definitely want to attend some of the great workshops and roundtable discussions the committee has been hard at work preparing for you with such topics as publicity, fundraising, setbuilding, props, and more.  There will be many opportunities for networking with peers from other theaters and the chance to see excerpts of award-winning community theater productions.  And, of course, we party too!

The event is traditionally held on Labor Day weekend and this year is no exception!  "It's All Greek to Me" is the 2011 theme and the conference will be held September 8th-10th at the Holiday Inn in Independence, OH.  Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about community theater in Ohio!  Contact us at info at OCTA2011.com
