BEING EARNEST, A Pop Musical Play
Written and directed by Deborah Magid

Bacharach meets the Beatles and Algernon takes center stage in this witty,
playful, modern-day homage to Oscar Wilde.  If THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING
EARNEST¹s Algernon Moncrieff lived today, what would his life be like?  Our
Algy is 40ish, cultured, charming, endlessly hungry and perpetually short of
funds.  He plays with Xenia on Saturday, Yvonne on Sunday and Zoe on Monday
and Tuesday, and the ladies ultimately contribute to Algy¹s evolution from a
Peter Pan to a grownup man.
