FIVE FLIGHTS OPENS FRI, AUG 19 AT CONVERGENCE-CONTINUM

convergence-continuum, continues its 2011 Season at the Liminis theatre
with the Midwest premiere of Five Flights by Adam Bock– a soaring and
touching comedy.

Siblings Ed and Adele inherit an enormous aviary that their late father
built for his deceased wife, whose soul, he believed, had transformed into
the body of a wren. The grown children are faced with the dilemma of what
to do with the crumbling structure – sister-in-law Jane wants to build
tidy new houses; friend Olivia wants to build The Church of the Fifth Day
honoring birds and the Fifth Day of creation; Ed wants to let the building
fall to the ground. Folded into this debate are issues of religious
conviction, fear of commitment, the way Russian ballet resembles a hockey
game, and the courtship of Ed by Tom, a gay professional hockey player.
(Warning: may contain brief exposure to strobe effects, male nudity, and
bird plumage.)

Five Flights is directed by convergence-continuum’s Artistic Director,
Clyde Simon and features actors Robert Branch, Jaclyn Cifranic, Clint
Elston, Elaine Feagler, Lauri Hammer and Zac Hudak.

Five Flights opens Friday, August 19 and runs at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays
and Saturdays through September 10 at the Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd.,
Cleveland, OH 44113 in the historic Tremont neighborhood. Tickets are $15
general admission, $12 for seniors (65+) and $10 for students.
