drama, mystery and music.

Join us for our 2011-2012 Season!

*Musical of Musicals the Musical.* Music by Eric Rockwell, Lyrics by Joanne
Bogart and Book by Eric Rockwell and Joanne Bogart. Directed by Dave
MacKeigan. Music Direction by Andrew and Jen Bertoni. Choreography by
Jessica Atwood.
Sept 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25

Terrific entertainment for theater aficionados, music lovers and people who
just love to laugh, this show uses a basic plot and plays it five different
ways. June is an ingenue who can't pay the rent and is threatened by her
evil landlord. Will the handsome leading man come to the rescue? How would
Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jerry Herman, Stephen Sondheim, Kander and Ebb and
Andrew Lloyd Webber have told the tale? Five unique presentational styles
make *Musical of Musicals the Musical* a fun filled evening for all. Adult
themes require a PG-13 rating.

*Murder by the Book,* by Duncan Greenwood and Robert King. Directed by Bob
Kenderes. November 17, 18, 19, 25, 26, 27, December 2, 3, 4

Unexpected twists and turns punctuate this surprise filled evening of
mystery and mayhem. A thriller writer indulges in bitter word duels with
his estranged wife until she shoots him. An amateur detective from the next
flat attempts to solve the murder before calling the police. Just as the
audience has it figured out, the action veers unexpectedly keeping everyone
on the edge of their seats. It’s a not to be missed experience.

*The Cover of Life* by R. T. Robinson. Directed by Dave Cotton. February
9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26

Who wouldn’t want to be on the cover of *Life* magazine? This comedic drama
follows *Life* reporter Kate Miller to the Cliffert home to uncover the
story of three young women married to three brothers who have gone off to
fight in WWII. Sharing a home with their mother-in-law as well as each
other brings challenges large and small. In tour de force roles, these
women share the joys and the sorrows of the roller coaster ride brought on
by the 1940’s. Filled with charm and fun, *The Cover of Life *is a deeply
affecting story with adult themes about the struggle for self worth.

*Send Me No Flowers*, by Norman Barasch and Carroll Moore. Directed by
Pat Price.
April 19, 20, 21, 27, 28, 29, May 4, 5, 6

George, a long standing hypochondriac overhears his doctor talking about a
doomed patient and mistakenly believes that he is dying. He enlists his
neighbor to write his eulogy, attempts to “fix up” his wife with an old
college flame and predictably his life slowly unravels as misunderstandings
mount up. Over active imaginations lead to hilarious “dream” sequences. .
Only the audience knows the whole truth. Get set to be in on the secret
while enjoying this delightfully funny play.

*Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?* Book by John R. Powers,
Music and Lyrics by James Quinn and Alaric Jans. Directed by Pam
Pickworth. Music Direction by Anthony Trifiletti.
June 28, 29, 30, July 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15

Gleeful audiences flocked to see this show in Chicago (where it became that
city's longest running show), in Philadelphia (where it broke attendance
records during its two runs) and in cities across the country. Focusing on
eight children during their Catholic elementary and high school education in
the 1950s, it captures the funniest aspects of youthful growing pains and
the trying moments of adolescence. Every number tickles the funny bone of
anyone who ever went to school, public or private. Watch the “kids’”
growing pains. but bring a hanky to wipe away the tears that all the
laughter will bring!
