*Job Description*

Fowler’s Mill Christian Church, a 100-member and growing independent
Christian Church congregation, is seeking a part-time Music Director to lead
and develop a blended service with traditional Hymns and contemporary praise
music.  The Director is responsible for the integration of music into the
life of the congregation, with the objective of extending and maintaining a
creative music program of superior quality.

*Job Requirements*

Major responsibilities include:

·         Playing the piano for Sunday worship and other services including
hymns, praise and special music

·         Training, rehearsing and directing the praise group and choirs

·         Selecting music (in conjunction with the pastor)

·         Recruiting new/additional singers and special music

·         Selecting and coordinating visiting musicians and volunteers

·         Other desired skills – ability to play the guitar;  Computer
knowledge – slideshow software

The successful candidate for this position will be a well-qualified musician
who is an accomplished pianist, capable of sight reading and experienced in
church music, with demonstrated competence and excellence in the areas of
