[NEohioPAL] Indiegathering Lectures on Legal Topics for Filmmakers & Actors

All Indiegathering attendees this weekend, don't miss my lectures on legal
topics for filmmakers (Sunday 2-3pm) and a special Actors' Contracts segment
afterward (Sunday 3 to 3:30pm.) I will be speaking on various subjects such
as copyrights and trademarks relating to films, including the Creative
Commons license for copyrighted material, and provisions in the federal
Copyright Act relating to digital media. I will also touch on releases for
extras and locations, and a little on business organizations for filmmaking.
The Actors contracts segment will compare and contrast the various SAG actor
contracts for independent films (Low Budget, Modified Low Budget, Ultra Low
Budget, and Short Film) with non-union actor agreements. There are some
interesting portions of the 711 page Basic SAG Agreement that I will
highlight as well. Have your questions about legal issues in filmmaking
ready and I will try to answer them also. Hope to see you all there!
