Auditions for anyone in grades 1-12:
Tuesday, September 6 - open call beginning at 6:00 pm, must be there by 8 pm to be seen
Wednesday, September 7 - open call beginning at 6:00 pm, must be there by 8 pm to be seen

Callbacks - by invitation only on Thursday, September 8 - beginning at 6:00 pm
Location: Wiley Middle School, 2181 Miramar Blvd, University Heights, Ohio 44118. All rehearsals and performances will be at this location.
Rehearsals begin: Monday, September 12. Rehearsals will be Mon-Fri, 5-8:30pm. You will not be called every day, only when you are needed to work. Attendance at ALL tech week rehearsals as well as all performances is mandatory.
Production Dates:
Friday, October 14, 21 and 28, 7 PM
Saturday, October 15, 22 and 29, 2 PM
Sunday, October 23, 2 PM
Requirements:
- Come prepared with ONE short musical theatre selection. No pop/rock.
- Must bring sheet music in the proper key.
- 32 bars of music is sufficient.
- An accompanist will play for all auditioners.
- Headshots and resumes will be accepted at the audition.
Casting Information:
All roles are available.
HYT is committed to non-traditional casting. Actors will be cast solely on the basis of talent, except in cases where age, race or physical ability is essential to a role.
About the show:
Leapin' Lizards! The popular comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world's best-loved musicals. Annie is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Roles available: (ages listed are 'character ages' not actor ages.)
The Orphans (there will also be an Ensemble of Orphans that will be featured in Hard Knock Life and NYC):
Annie - Child actor 9-12 years old with a strong belt, optimistic and 'spunky', is seeking her parents.
Molly - The littlest to orphan - 7 years old
Kate - The next to littlest orphan - 8 years old
Tessie - The cry baby orphan - 10 years old.
Pepper- The toughest orphan - 12 years old
July - The quietest orphan - 13 years old
Duffy - The biggest orphan - 13 years old
The Adults:
Daddy Warbucks - Baritone, commanding stage presence.
Miss Hannigan - Character woman, alto with belt, comical.
Rooster Hannigan - Bari-tenor, smooth, slick, moves well.
Lily St. Regis - Over-the-top vamp, soprano, moves well.
Grace - Warbuck's secretary, organized and kind. Soprano.
Character Roles and Ensemble: - Play a variety of characters of all ages, types and vocal ranges such as FDR, his cabinet, mansion staff, radio show personalities and Hooverville residents.
