Announcing Auditions for the G.B. Community Theatre Season
Auditions have been scheduled for all G. B. Community Theatre shows for the 2011-2012 season.  Everyone is encouraged to audition. Beginning actors are welcome. For more information contact Kimberly Godfrey at the Ashtabula Arts Center at (440) 964-3396.

The next audition will be for "A Doll's House" by Henrick Ibsen and directed by Kim Godfrey. The auditions will be held Sunday, Sept. 18 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Please prepare a one minute monologue.  Callbacks (by invitation only) will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 6 - 8 p.m. Rehearsals will generally be held Sunday - Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. beginning Sept. 25. 

Cast Requirements: Three men: one teen/young 20's & two age 30 and up; Four women: two in late teens/early 20's, two age 30 & up; Two children age 12 and under.

Performance dates will be Nov. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13.  Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8 p.m.  Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.

Auditions are first come, first served.  Readings are held from the script unless otherwise noted.  Those auditioning should bring a list of calendar conflicts with them. Actors are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances unless arrangements have been made prior to the start of rehearsals.

Future auditions will be held for:

 "Into the Woods" directed by Bob Godfrey on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 1 - 3 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13 from 6 - 8 p.m. Please prepare a short song (sheet music required) and a monologue (not to exceed 1 minute).  Rehearsals will generally be held Sun. - Thurs.: 6:30 - 9 p.m. beginning on Nov. 27. 

Cast Requirements: Nine men and ten women (ages 15 & up).

Performance dates: Jan. 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28.

"Rumors" directed by Stephen Rhodes on Monday and Tuesday Nov. 28 & 29 at 6:30 p.m.  The first reading will be during the week of December 19.  Rehearsals begin Tuesday, Jan. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30.p.m. on Monday through Thursday.

Cast Requirements: Four men age 25 - 65, four women 25 - 65. two police officers in small roles aged 18 - 50.

Performance dates: Feb. 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25

"The Importance of Being Earnest" directed by Doug Anderson will be held Saturday, Jan. 21 from 10 - noon, and Sunday, Jan. 22 from 6 - 8 p.m.  Come prepared to attempt an upper-class English accent. Rehearsals will generally be held Sunday -Thursday evenings beginning in Feb.

Cast requirements: Five men: Jack and Algy, age 16-30, Chasuble, over age 40, and two servants any age.  Four women: Gwendolen & Cecily, age 16-30, Miss Prism, over 40, Lady Bracknell, over 40.

 Performance dates: March 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, April 1
