Gospel of St. Luke) was first produced Off-Broadway in 1961. Under Hughes’ pen,
this piece is part re-enactment of the birth of Jesus, part church service, and
part Christmas concert. Composed entirely of gospel versions of traditional
carols and contemporary music infused with energetic and exciting dance
sequences.
