Cleveland Public Theatre announces auditions for the World Premiere of
LULU PROJECT
Conceived and Directed by Matthew Earnest


This vintage circus of comic debauchery is based on Frank Wedekind's revolutionary plays Earth Spirit and Pandora's Box. Lulu Project chronicles the exploits of poor little Lulu - a sexual outlaw in a society riven by lust and greed - who is tossed like a frisbee from man to man, ultimately landing in the clutches of Jack the Ripper. Lulu Project is simultaneously a cautionary fable and freewheeling peepshow.

Looking to cast 5 men of any age, height, weight, ethnicity to play multiple roles.
**There are no Equity agreements available for this production

Auditions will be held:
Sunday, October 9th: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Callbacks will be held on Monday, October 10th at 6pm.

Auditions are by appointment only and will be scheduled in 5 minute increments. Actors should prepare a 1 - 2 minute monologue of their choosing and 16 bars of a song to be sung a cappella. This piece will be highly stylized and contain live music. While playing an instrument is not a requirement, actors should bring any instruments they play to the audition.
Please note: this production may require some nudity. When requesting an audition appointment, please include your comfort level with nudity.

Rehearsals for this play will begin in early February with performances in the James Levin Theatre March 8th - 24th. Performances are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday evenings.
