The lecture series is free and open to the public. The lecture series is
part of Tri-C's Project Gilgamesh, which explores the Epic of Gilgamesh
from a variety of perspectives, both in the classroom and through the vehicle
of the performing arts. Contemporary composer and violinist Daniel Bernard
Roumain is the project's lead artist and will be creating a songbook for
the project. Project Gilgamesh is being conducted at Tri-C under the
auspices of a "Creative Campus Innovations Grant." Tri-C is one of six
recipients of the prestigious national grant, sponsored by the Association for
Performing Arts Presenters and funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation,
with additional support from the Ohio Arts Council.
