Join us in October for a trip on the Underground Railroad and some ghostly stories! 

Travel back to 1899 on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. and meet Sarah Comstock at the Huron Public Library; 333 Williams St; Huron Ohio. Sarah (portrayed by Bette Lou Higgins) is the daughter of an abolitionist steamboat captain and grew up in an Underground Railroad station in Sandusky. She will discuss her new book, NEXT STOP, FREEDOM! in this first-person character program which feature stories from the Underground Railroad in Ohio. This program is free and open to the public. Get into the Halloween spirit with I THOUGHT I SAW A GHOST! on Thursday, October 27, 2011, 7 p.m. at the Elyria Library West River Branch; 1194 West River Rd. North; Elyria, Ohio. Bette Lou Higgins will tell the tales of ghosts from across the country and the Great Lakes in this storytelling program. Join us for this spooky-good time!
