*Cast Party Comes to Nighttown *

We are looking for entertainers and singers of all stripes for a wonderful
opportunity to strut your stuff. We're bringing *Cast Party* to Nighttown
in Cleveland Heights on Thursday, October 20 at 7:30 p.m.

First, a little background. *Jim Caruso’s Cast Party* is a wildly popular
weekly soiree bringing a sprinkling of Broadway glitz and urbane wit to the
legendary Birdland in New York City every Monday night. *Cast Party* is a
cool cabaret and Broadway musical night-out enlivened by a hilariously
impromptu variety show. Showbiz superstars hit the stage alongside
up-and-comers, serving up jaw-dropping music and general razzle-dazzle, with
each performer singing or playing just one number. For the past eight
years, *Cast Party* has been the ultimate spot to mix and mingle with
Manhattan show folk and their fans. Caruso guides the entire affair like a
bubbly cruise director and the audience is invited to participate in the
festivities! It’s the party that would happen if somehow David Letterman and
Ed Sullivan threw a hip house party around the nine-foot concert grand
piano! And now, Caruso is bringing *Cast Party* to Cleveland to see what
kind of musical talent we have here.

*Cast Party* in New York City is total open mic. However, when it comes to
Cleveland, we're going to do it a little different. We'll still have some
open mic slots on October 20, but the vast majority of slots are going to be
filled by *Casting Call for Cast Party*, which will take place at 7 p.m.
Monday, October 17 at Nighttown. It's an open casting call for singers,
comedians and novelty actors of any all kinds to fill slots for the October
20, *Cast Party *event. Cleveland directors Vicky Bussert and Martin
Friedman and Nighttown's own Brendan Ring will make the final selections for
the show on Thursday, October 20.

*If you want to know what kind of music to sing or act to perform for Casting
Call for Cast Party, check out the hotlinks below. See what other people
have done at Cast Party in New York. Yes, it's heavy on Broadway-style
showtunes, but it's a variety show !!!*

Performers selected to appear at *Cast Party* on October 20 receive free
admission to see the entire show.

*Audition Date: **Casting Call for Cast Party** takes place on Monday,
October 17, beginning at 7:00 p.m. *Bring music and piano accompanist
extraordinaire Nancy Maier will work her magic. For more information call

NEED A RESERVATION FOR CASTING CALL FOR CAST PARTY. * When you arrive,
you'll sign-in and it's first come-first served to perform. As mentioned
above, we've received many questions about what to sing. It's your choice:
Broadway showtunes, country numbers, play your own instrument...Cast Party
is, at its heart, a musical variety show, so we're looking for that variety.
