CALLING ALL AREA PLAYWRIGHTS, LYRICISTS, COMPOSERS - and those who work with
them...
The Ohio Region of the Dramatists Guild presents a FREE daylong program on
November 12th, "DIY: Self-Production for the Stage." Participants need not
be guild members; all are welcome.
Highlights include:
*a two-hour "brass tacks" primer by national DG Membership Director and
veteran producer, Roland Tec. Fundamentals of budgeting and scheduling will
be mapped out in simple, easy-to-digest terms.
*a session on "Author as a CEO," by DG Director for Business Affairs,
David Faux. Learn how to protect your intellectual property portfolio
through properly structured licensing agreements.
*David Faux's review of the Dramatists Bill of Rights.
The NOVEMBER 12TH event begins at 9 a.m. (with coffee and registration
after 8:30) and runs until 3:45 p.m.
It takes place at the 14th Street Theatre, 2037 East 14th Street (between
Euclid Avenue and Prospect) in downtown Cleveland's PlayhouseSquare.
PlayhouseSquare, the nation's second largest performing arts center (after
Lincoln Center) has graciously offered to host the event, as well as conduct
an optional tour of the complex, following adjournment.
Although there is NO CHARGE for the program, reservations are requested.
Please respond as soon as possible to fsholiton at dramatistsguild.com. Faye
