*About the Play*
Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical, *The Music Man* is an
affectionate salute to Small-town, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith
Wilson’s *The Music Man* follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold
Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and
uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he
doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the
cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him
into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. This classic musical is
filled with memorable music - "Trouble," "Good Night My Someone" and "76
Trombones" and big, flashy dance numbers along with a story that will touch

*Ensemble roles of all ages from elementary (kids in the band) to high
school and college (town folk)

Baritone or bass to fill out the school board barbershop quartet

*Rehearsal begin the week of January 2nd, 2012
Performances Febrary 23 – March 4, 2012, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
evenings, Sunday matinees

Audition Dates and Times
*Saturday November 19th
Tuesday November 29th
between 4-6pm each day at Mayfield Village Civic Center
Please prepare a one minute song and a one minute monologue

*Eligibility and Tuition*
Upon acceptance into the show a tuition fee is required. For cast members
who have attended an FPAC Summer Training session previously (2004-2011)
the tuition is $225. For students who have not attended a session
previously, the tuition is $295.
