Public radio station, WAPS, serving Akron/Canton/Youngstown/western PA is
seeking a FEMALE host for its award-winning HD radio and online channel Rock
& RecoveryT - www.rockandrecovery.com

This is a part-time "contract service" position. 

 

The qualifications include: 

 

.         Experienced female announcer with strong interviewing skills;

 

.         In, or "graduate" of, a recovery program for alcohol or substance
addiction;

 

.         Team player who takes direction, yet work independently.

 

.         Excellent communication skills;

 

.         Willing to adjust personal schedule to accommodate for studio
access and guest availability;

 

.         Strong time management skills; 

 

.         Production skills with experience in using Cool Edit Pro - Adobe
Audition and/or Pro Tools or other similar broadcast automation/editing
system

 

ABOUT: Rock & RecoveryT is an online and HD radio listening experience
produced by WAPS-FM in Akron, Ohio. Our goal is to empower and entertain
those suffering from addiction while enhancing their self-motivation and
personal nourishment.

Rock & RecoveryT mixes inspiring stories and messages of strength, and hope,
from professional health-care providers, addicts, comedians and family
members. These powerful stories and meaningful messages are carefully woven
in between hand-picked music. This music is uplifting without being preachy,
spiritual without religion and familiar to a wide audience. Rock & RecoveryT
is not associated with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or
institution.
