This Monday, January 30 we kick off our Winter/Spring 2012 semester including four fantastic classes designed specifically for ADULTS!  From Acting and Improvisation to Dance and Public Speaking ... there is something available just about every night of the week - each class led by industry professionals.  Isn't it time you got yourself back in the classroom and flexing those creative muscles again?  Isn't it time you took a moment for yourself?  Don't make any more excuses.  It is YOUR time now.

So shake off the winter time blues and consider joining us for one of these exciting offerings starting next week:


  *   The Adult Actor (Ages 18 and up) Instructors: Maryann Nagel & Greg Violand
This course is designed for both the adult beginner who wants an introduction to the fundamental tools of acting as well as the experienced adult actor who seek to stretch. Under the guidance of two of Northeast Ohio's premiere professional actors, Maryann Nagel and Greg Violand, students will explore and develop the fundamental tools needed to create full, honest, and compelling characters. Audition experience will also be addressed.  NOTE: THE CLASS IS TEN SESSIONS MEETING ON THE FOLLOWING DATES: January 30, February 6 & 20, March 5 & 19, April 2, 16 & 30, May 14 & 21. Course # 983
Mondays, 6:30-8:30pm; 10 Weeks; 1/30 - 5/21; Tuition: $225



  *   Express Yourself: Public Speaking for Adults (Ages 118 and up) Instructor: Pam Wetula
Reduce your anxiety, learn the tools and fine tune your speaking skills to deliver effective and captivating presentations. Whether you need to introduce yourself and give your opinions at community meetings, participate in networking events or give sales presentations to individuals or groups, this class will help you build the communication skills you need. Enjoy a relaxed interactive classroom style with helpful evaluation from the instructor. Course # 985
Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30pm; 14 weeks; 2/1 - 5/9; Tuition: $200



*         Adults Only: Improvisation (Ages 18 and up) Instructor: Aaron Patterson/Russ Stich
This class will focus on the "yes and" principle and work through games and exercises to develop creativity and spontaneity.  Study with two of the men who continue to make "Something Dada" the premiere Improv troupe in Cleveland! Course #965

Thursdays, 7:00-8:30pm; 10 Weeks; 2/10 - 4/14; Tuition: $160



  *   Dance for Musical Theater: Adults (Ages 18 and up) Instructor: Devon Shriver
This class is for the adult who is interested in learning, or who is already performing in the professional musical theater world, or in community theater for fun! Students will work on proper dance technique and alignment, and dance terminology, as well as turns and jumps across the floor - which are popular in the musical theater world today. At the end of each class, a combination will be learned from a show. Course #986

Fridays, 6:00-7:00pm; 14 Weeks; 2/3 - 5/11; Tuition: $155



*         Private Coaching (Ages 13 to Adult) Instructor: Jonathan Kronenberger

The associate director of Theater Education will be offering private coaching sessions. These scheduled work times are intended for the serious theater student in which to prepare materials for auditions and college applications. Fee: $25 for a 30-minute session. Accompanist available for an additional fee: $30 for a 30-minute session.
