We’ve all heard before that community theaters do not produce REAL theater.  The Ohio Community Theatre Association (OCTA) has disagreed with that statement for going on sixty years.
 
OCTA’s NE Region will be hosting a Regional Festival on Saturday, June 16, 2012.  All regional community theaters are invited to join this competition of excerpts with their own from the 2011-2012 season.
 
If you feel you have a production worthy of competition, you must meet the following basic criteria…
 
·        You are a community theatre.
·        You have an excerpt with a clear beginning and end that can load-in and run within 40 minutes.
·        The excerpt is from one of your advertised theatre productions.
·        The production was a part of a season between June 2011 and June 2012.
·        75% of the original cast will be in the excerpt.
·        No cast member was paid for their performance.
