WHO: 5 Men and 4 Women speaking and singing parts (Extras needed for Chorus
and minor speaking roles)

 

Those auditioning should come prepared to sing, either with an accompany CD
or piano sheet music. It does not have to be a prepared piece. Part singing
will be required. Participants will also read from script. Looking for 5 men
and 4 women, 1 male part does not require singing. Participants will also be
asked to read from the script

There is no compensation for these parts.this is strictly volunteer,
community theater.

Rehearsals are Monday - Thursday from 7 pm to 9pm. Production Dates are May
4,5,11,12,18 and 19, 2012

Six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely
managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything
and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a hilarious tale of
overachievers' angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders
vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's Tony Award
winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the
unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a
spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the
same time.
