*Oberlin summer theater festival 2012*



The Oberlin Summer Theater Festival announces auditions/interviews for the
2012 season: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare; “Picnic”
by William Inge; and “The Cradle Will Rock” by Mark Blitzstein.  These will
perform in rotating rep July 6 through August 4, at Hall Auditorium in
Oberlin.



*TIME: March 11th, 1 – 5  *

*LOCATION: Oberlin College, Warner Center, Studio #2*

*Please PREPARE appropriate audition piece: *

*1) Contemporary American (for Picnic) *

*2) Shakespeare - verse (for Midsummer)*

*3) a Song (for Cradle)*

All OSTF actors are paid weekly for their work. In past seasons, AEA
members have been hired under the Special Appearances contracts, level 2.



Roles that have not yet been cast include:

Titania and Puck in “Midsummer” (Total of 9 work weeks, 11 performances:
rehearsals begin June 5, opens  July 6, and closes August 4.)

Rosemary in “Picnic”  (Total of 8 work weeks, 10 performances: rehearsals
begin June 12, opens July13, and closes August 3.)

Mr Mister, and Mrs Mister in “Cradle” (Total of 7 workweeks, 9
performances, rehearsals begin June 19, opens July 20, closes August 4.)
