Preparation:

Auditioners should prepare a short monologue from any family drama or comedy. Sides for cold readings only will be available.

Beverly Weston:  Male, 69 years old

Violet Weston:  His wife, 65

 

Barbara Fordham: Bev/Violet’s daughter, 46

Bill Fordham: Her Husband, 49

Jean Fordham: Their daughter, 14 (actress should be over 18, but look young)

 

Ivy Weston: Bev/Violet’s daughter, 44

 

Karen Weston: Bev/Violet’s daughter, 40

Steve Hiedebrecht, Karen’s fiancé, 57

 

Mattie Fay Aiken: Violet’s sister, 57

Charlie Aiken: Mattie Fay’s husband, 60

Little Charlie Aiken: Their son, 37

 

Johnna Maneveta, housekeeper, 26, (should look somewhat Native American)

Sheriff Deon Gilbeau, 47

 

Director – Jacqi Loewy – Previous Weathervane directing credits include Proof; The Full Monty; Little Shop of Horrors; The Laramie Project; Man of La Mancha; I Do, I Do; The Last Five Years and They’re Playing Our Song.

 

A fulltime Professor of Theatre/Communication, and Director of Theatre at Notre Dame College, Jacqi’s direction has been seen at The Cleveland Play House, Ensemble Theatre, Dobama, Theatre, CASE, Charenton Theatre, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Playhouse Square and Cleveland Public Theatre. Jacqi had the privilege of supervising all three years of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, the longest-running show in Cleveland’s history. In addition, choreography and performance credits range from Broadway to most Cleveland venues.
