Musicians of the Heights Chamber Orchestra, along with their Music Director
Anthony Addison, are proud to present their next concert to the community
on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Lutheran High School East (3565
Mayfield Rd.) in Cleveland Heights.This concert will feature guest soloist
Hayato Tanaka performing the Hummel Concerto for trumpet in E major. The
program will also feature the "The Fair Melusine" Overture by Felix
Mendelssohn, Joseph Haydn’s “Representation of Chaos" from "The Creation",
and “Variations on a Theme by Haydn" by Johannes Brahms. As with all
Heights Chamber Orchestra concerts, admission is free, though a free will
donation is encouraged to support the operation of the orchestra.

Trumpeter Hayato Tanaka is originally from Tokyo, Japan. He has studied
with Mr. Toshio
Tanaka (Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra) in Japan. He has attended the
Eastern Music
Festival, where he won the Eastern Music Festival Concerto Competition in
the summer of 2008.
Hayato studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy from 2008-09, and won the
Interlochen Arts
Academy Concerto Competition. Fall 2009, he came to the Cleveland Institute
of Music to study
and participate in the Young Artist Program. Currently, he is a CIM
freshman, studying trumpet
performance with Michael Sachs, principal trumpet of The Cleveland
Orchestra.

The Heights Chamber Orchestra is made up of amateur musicians primarily
from Cleveland Heights and Cleveland’s eastern suburbs. 2011-2012 is the
orchestra’s 29th season. For more information about this performance, the
