      Additional auditions for /HAIRSPRAY/

Based on the 1988 John Waters film, and punched by Marc Shaiman's score, 
Scott Wittman's lyrics and a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, 
this multi-Tony winning musical is the story of a chubby, spunky girl 
who brings about the racial integration of Baltimore's favorite 60's 
teen dance TV show.

    *Roles Still Available: *

CVLT auditions are always open to all comers! The production team has 
already cast a number of roles from the primary round of auditions, but 
are still seeking the following:

    *AFRICAN-AMERICAN ENSEMBLE* - singer/actor/dancers - ages 17 - 25
    (Corny Collins show dancers)

    *MALE ENSEMBLE* - Caucasian men who sing - ages 25 and up

    *WILBUR TURNBLAD* - Male, Caucasian, 40s-50s, Baritone. Tracy 's
    father. A working class inventor. Sweet, goofy, childlike
    personality. Adores his family. Needs a thin, funny character actor.

    *MOTORMOUTH MAYBELLE* - Female, African-American, 40s-50s, Alto.
    Seaweed and Little Inez's mother. Queen of Baltimore Soul, a radio
    DJ. Powerful and inspiring, with an infectious, brassy personality.
    Large physique. Strong, soulful gospel/pop singer.

    *LITTLE INEZ* - Female, African-American, teens, Mezzo. Spunky,
    tough, streetwise, outgoing, older than her years. Seaweed's lovable
    little sister. Strong Broadway/pop singer and dancer.


    *Preparation:*

Please come prepared with your best audition song that shows off your 
vocal range and personality. You must bring sheet music in the correct key.

Come prepared to dance - if you are not a dancer, you will still need to 
be able to move well. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes.

Headshots and acting resumes welcome, but not required.
