[NEohioPAL] CASTING CALL for 1940's Film to be Shot in Cleveland this Summer

Jesters of Castlereagh and Hollywood Outcast Productions will be filming a
late 1940’s post-war era feature-length picture in Cleveland beginning late
May. We are looking for a devoted, talented, and compassionate cast to
create this film. SAG actors welcome to audition!

Auditions will be held on April 21st and 22nd at two separate locations, as
to try and accommodate both and east and west siders. There are parking
lots at both locations. Please bring headshots and resumes or e-mail them

   - Saturday, April 21st, auditions will be from 3-6pm at Discovery Photo
   located on 27629 Chagrin Boulevard, Beechwood, Ohio 44122, suite #107. The
   studio, when facing the front of the building, is up on the left hand side
   of the building.


   - Sunday April 22nd, auditions will be held at the Panera located at
   26086 Great Northern Shop Center, North Olmsted, OH 44070 from 4:30-7:30pm.
   It will be in the conference room on the back right side of the Panera.

The cast is small as it's a film based on the close relationships between
characters, who are mostly close friends and family. Some parts will be
emotionally demanding. If you feel you are close to a character's
description but not spot on, still feel free to audition, as we could be
flexible based on your performance. Sides will be provided however, if you
have a monologue prepared, feel free to perform it.

*JAMES* (lead): A strong man that bad things have happened to and was not
equipped with the emotional stability to deal with everything healthily. He
is sarcastic but nearly always joking, very dry, almost monotone.  He’s
tall, dark, and handsome and very clean and well groomed. Athletic/muscular
build. Must appear to look in his mid to late twenties. Caucasian.

*BILLY* (lead): He is medium/tall height, very kind and boyishly cute. He
has lighter hair with a medium/athletic build. He’s very goofy and comical,
enjoys attention but gives it when needed. He’s also very caring and
attentive. Must appear to be in his mid-late twenties. Caucasian.

*SAMANTHA* (supporting lead): She is short, slender, and strong. She has a
fiery personality and cares deeply for those around her but isn’t afraid to
say exactly what she thinks. She is very tough and works very hard. Must
appear to be in her early to mid twenties. Caucasian.

*HARLEY* (supporting): He is taller, dark and grey. He looks like an
attractive older man, very stern and strong. He’s had many years of work
behind him and is capable of handling the years ahead of him. He has a good
sense of humor but is often very quiet and conservative. Must appear to
look in his fifties to sixties. Caucasian.

*ANNE MARIE *(supporting): She is shorter and slightly plump. She is lively
and always smiling and cheerful, despite her struggle with dementia. She
was once a hard worker before she became ill. She still tries to help when
she can, married to Harley. Must appear to be in her fifties to sixties.
Caucasian.

*CHARLIE *(supporting): Similar to best friend James, tall and dark, both
being sarcastic and enjoy giving one another a hard time. He is slender but
athletic. He’s caring but doesn’t often show it. Must appear to be in mid
to late twenties. Caucasian.

We'll also be requiring extras. Featured extras include a piano tuner
(flexible age and race), James' dates (women in their early 20's,
Caucasian), doctor (middle aged, Caucasian), and a Priest (flexible age,
Caucasian). We'll also need hair stylists, hair clients, young dancers,
waiters (any age or race), restaurant patrons, etc.

**As with all parts of cast and crew (non-union), there will be no
financial compensation for your participation in the film. You will receive
credit in the film, a copy of the film, and craft services every day you
are on set. We will be filming on the weekends starting late May/early June
through the summer.
