CASTING NOTICE

            WE ARE CASTING FOR A NEW MUSICAL COMEDY WITH RUN DATES OF JULY
11, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 IN NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO.  NOTE: THIS
PLAY IS SOCIO-POLITICAL SATIRE.  RUSH LIMBAUGH FANS WOULD BE EXPECTED TO BE
"UNAMUSED".  NO "MEGA-DITTOERS".   

THERE ARE NO "CHORUS" ROLES.  ALL SINGERS MUST BE ABLE TO SING SOLO.  BEING
ABLE TO ENUNCIATE AND CARRY A TUNE IS ALL THAT IS REQUIRED SINCE THE LYRICS
TO THE SONGS ARE MORE IMPORTANT RATHER THAN MUSICAL VALUE OF THE SONG.  

NO DANCING IS REQUIRED.

            REGULAR AUDITION DATES:

                        MAY 7            6-9 pm

                        MAY 8            6-9 pm

            AUDITION LOCATION:

                        OLD TOWN HALL, 5186 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted

                        Just North of Lorain on Dover Center between the
Police Station and City Hall

PLEASE BRING A HEADSHOT AND RESUME

            All cast and crew members will receive compensation in terms of
copyright share for any licensed performance of the play after the initial
run and a stipend in the form of free legal services ranging between a value
of $ 100.00 to  $ 1,000.00, depending on the size and complexity of the
role.  

            Where races are specified, those races are preferred, but not
etched in stone, since the play is being cast and directed by the playwright
and the script can be modified to suit the talent.  Ages shown are the ages
for the characters, not necessarily the age required of the performer to
play the part.  For example, an 18 year old who can portray a person over
the age of 50 would be considered for a 50+ role.   Other walk-on/crew roles
are available.

 

            WENDEL                   Male, singing, 100+ lines

            TANYA                       Female African-American, singing,
under 75 lines

            DORIS                        Female, singing, under 75 lines

MR. CLARK               Male, 50+, non-singing, under 20 lines

            FRESCO                     Male, Caucasian, singing, under 50
lines

            CHILD                        Any gender, 7-12, singing, under 20
lines

            OFFICER                    Male, non-singing, under 25 lines

            KASICKI                     Male, non-singing, under 25 lines

            GOD                           Male, older with imposing stature,
singing, under 20 lines
