The Greater Cleveland
Aquarium is pleased to announce auditions for immediate open positions within
the Actor/Education program. Positions are for on the floor character/education/entertainment work at the Greater Cleveland
Aquarium and Off-Site at school out-reach programs.
 
The auditions are open to adult male and female
performers/actors/inter-actors.  
 
Must have interactive performance experience with the
public, and can create a defined and believable character; have experience as a
performer working with children; have excellent improvisation skills and be
able to take direction well.  Additional  experience preferred in
marine life knowledge; magic/accordion/concertina/ and other musical/special
skills a plus. Must be able to have quick pace and energy and maintain a solid
character while educating and entertaining the public.
 
All positions are part time and will be offered in
yearly agreements.  The shifts available will be a rotating 15 hour per
week shifts (3 -5 hour days) and a 20 hour week. ( 4  -5 hour
shifts)  Weekday and Weekend work is required, but a rotating schedule
will allow one free weekend per month.  The rate of pay is $13.50 per
hour.
 
The Open Call will be held
on Tuesday May 15th from  2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Please come prepared with a one minute comedic monologue of your choice, but performed as either of the following characters:  Pirate/Salty
Sea Captain/Exotic World Traveler.  
 
Please note that this audition will be held as an open
call audition and you will be asked to remain until you are released.  The
audition will be fast paced and interactive.
Those performers being considered for callbacks will be
informed on the spot and will be called back for the following day.
 
All offers will be contingent upon a successful
completion of interview and background check.
