Sleeping Beauty 

A Children's Adaptation of a Classic Fairy Tale 

Ohio Dance Theatre Offers Families a Special Day with Their Own Little
"Princess"

 

 

Elyria, OH-Share the wonder of dance with your entire family as Ohio Dance
Theatre presents Sleeping Beauty from its Ballet for Children's series,
uniquely designed to introduce young audiences to the magic and beauty of
ballet. Spend a very special day with your own "princess" June 30th at 2:00
pm in the beautiful new Elyria Performing Arts Center on the campus of
Elyria High School located at the corner of West 5th Street and West Avenue.
But first, meet princess Aurora at her private Tea Party and enjoy
refreshments, small tea sandwiches, fresh fruit and a tasty treat.  Come
dressed as your favorite fairytale princess and be sure to bring your camera
and autograph book!  After the tea party, head over to the Sleeping Beauty
Ballet performance.  Aurora's Tea Party will begin at 12:15 pm at Moss's
restaurant, 535 Broad Street, Elyria. Limited seating is available for the
Tea Party and tickets for both the performance and the Tea Party can be
purchased on line at www.ohiodancetheatre.org. Please note that Tea Party
tickets are only available to those who purchase tickets for the
performance. 

 

Ohio Dance Theatre company member Courtney Jankovic will dance the role of
Sleeping Beauty, Caraboose, the wicked fairy is danced by Juliana Freude and
Shannon Yee will be featured as the Lilac Fairy.

 

Tickets are $18-$25 tickets and can be purchased on line at
www.ohiodancetheatre.org. Free onsite parking is available.

 

Ohio Dance Theatre's production of Sleeping Beauty is sponsored in part by
the Nord Family Foundation, Community Foundation of Lorain County and by the
Ohio Arts Council.

 

Ohio Dance Theatre is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 professional ballet based
contemporary dance company that presents works with a strong theatrical
element and stretches the limits of dance by including actors, musicians and
