Young Audiences is hosting a speech Wed., June 13 at noon at the City Club
on *“Teaching Artists and the Future of Education,” *presenting the results
of* *a three-year study by NORC at the University of Chicago.


 This research demonstrates a *strong correlation* between learning in the
arts and improved student behavior, attendance, engagement in school,
critical thinking, problem solving and even test scores. Nick Rabkin, the
study’s principal investigator, will speak about arts education as a core
element in school reform.
