The Youngstown Playhouse is holding another round of auditions for
CABARET.  ALL ROLES ARE STILL OPEN.  We are mostly in need of men, The
Emcee, Cliff, dancers.  Anyone who auditioned previously is welcome to
return but it is not necessary.

AUDITION DATE IS:
Sunday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m.

ALL ROLES ARE STILL OPEN
We are especially looking for men including Cliff and The Emcee!
Also looking for male singers/dancers.

As many as 11 men and 8 women with ages ranging from 17 - 70.

Performance dates are September 14, 15, 21, & 22 at 7:30 and Septmeber 16,
& 23 at 2:30.

Frank Lucas has directed at Weathervane, Canton Players Guild, East
Cleveland Playhouse, and Playhouse Square among others.
Be prepared to sing a song NOT from the show, have a short monologue to
perform or read, and be prepared to show movement skills.

SYNOPSIS:  An aspiring writer named Cliff Bradshaw has traveled to Berlin
in search of inspiration when happens upon Sally Bowles at a cabaret
called the Kit Kat Klub.  She ends up moving in with him in a boarding
house run by Fräulein Schneider and her suitor, Herr Schultz, a Jewish
fruit-shop owner.  As the Nazis grow stronger, everything is thrown into
disarray.
Songs include:  "Willkommen", "Don't Tell Momma", "Two Ladies", and
"Cabaret".

Based on the play "I Am a Camera" by John Van Druten and stories by
Christopher Isherwood.

CABARET is the opening show for the 88th Season of The Youngstown Playhouse.
