Don’t Hug Me is an award-winning musical comedy that takes place in a colorful 
rustic north woods bar in tiny Bunyan Bay, Minnesota.  It’s the coldest, most 
bone-chilling day of the year and cantankerous bar owner Gunner Johnson (Rob 
Herman) is ready to sell the business and move to sunny Florida.  Clara (Pat 
Hudson) his wife and former Winter Carnival Bunyan Queen, is perfectly content 
staying right where she is and not move.  Bernice Lundstrom, (Judith Overcash) 
the pretty waitress, wants to pursue a singing career. Her fiancé Kanute 
Gunderson, (Seth Dodds) wants her to stay home.  It’s a battle of wills that 
test their relation-ships and when a fast-talking salesman Aarvid Gisselsen (Ken 
Fickey) promises to bring romance into their lives through the “magic” of 
karaoke, all heck breaks loose!  Director, Bill Morgan, has  thoroughly enjoyed 
his work with this show and cast!
The new musical about small town Scandinavian personality quirks has been 
drawing full-house audiences and garnering rave reviews not only in Los Angeles 
where it originated and was a smash hit in its extended six month run but also 
in more than 65 cities around the U. S. and Canada.  In L. A. it won 4 Artistic 
Achievement Awards and was given one of the top honors in the Robert J. 
Pickering Awards for Playwriting Excellence.

Theatre is located at 3326 Everett Rd at the Bath/Richfield Township 
line.        The Everett Rd Bridge near the theatre is closed for repairs use 
Ira Rd east to north Revere Rd. to Everett or use exit 143 on I-77 and turn left 
go to Revere Rd  and turn right onto Revere Rd. and go one half mile to our 
parking lot.
